· Swimmers must compete in 3 league meets to be eligible for championships (Rule IV-7).
· For championships, age will be determined as of December 31st. The age of the swimmer on Dec. 31st will determine the age of the swimmer for the remainder of the season (Rule IV-19).
· A swimmer is permitted to compete in a maximum of three individual events or two individual events and two relays.
· No swimmer is permitted to swim in both A + B Championships. If a swimmer qualifies in one “A” individual event only, he/she will be allowed to swim an additional event (with a “B” time at “A” Championships). Even though a swimmer may qualify for the “A” Championship in one event, he/she is still permitted to swim the “B” Championship, but not in that event in which he/she has the “A” time. He/she may also not swim the stroke he/she has an “A” time in, in a “B” Championship relay (Rule IV-11).
· It is imperative that the Head Coach be notified ASAP if a swimmer must scratch from a meet due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e illness). The absence of even one swimmer from a completed line up can impact the entire line up.
· Swimmers MUST check-in with a coach by the warm-up time the day of a meet. Please notify the Head Coach (Jen @ 830-1301)if a swimmer will be late. · |
